Papa Joe’s Italian Restaurant and Bar is located at 1301 S Capitol Blvd just down the hill from the train depot. Our building has housed a number of different businesses, the most famous of which, aside from Papa Joe’s, was Dixon’s Sea Food. It is a beautiful eclectic building which we have been working to restore. The patio offers a great view of the foot hills and the BSU campus. You can enjoy sitting outside in the early morning with a cup of espresso and watch the world go by. Evening patio dining has a festive charm. We offer a variety of dining rooms, one by the stone fire place, one in our parlor, as well our living room, a private den for 10 or fewer with an high definition TV, complete with coffee table and leather sofa.
Papa Joe’s was established over twenty years ago and has become a Boise tradition for Sicilian style pizzas, home style pastas, Italian wine, cold regional beer and great prices.
We love hearing stories from our customers about how Papa Joe’s was their college hangout; now those customers are all grown up, and the restaurant has grown with them. Take a moment to look through our website and see that we have become more than a simple Pizzeria.
In the fall of 2006 we restored the north wing of the restaurant and brought Papa’s Cup of Joe to life; our representation of a classic Northern Italian, espresso/coffee shop and wine nook. We have also added a meeting/banquet room; great for parties up to 20 people.
If you’re looking for the perfect place to watch the big game we have the perfect spot for you: Papa’s living room, furnished complete with 3 couches, a coffee table and a 42” High Definition Plasma T.V.
We have also added an entirely new tradition to Papa Joe’s – Sunday breakfast. Every Sunday 8:00am to 12:00noon we open for breakfast…ITALIAN STYLE!
